How Bootcamps Can Review Hundreds of Student Resumes Without More Staff
Career services teams cannot read every resume twice. A first pass that scores every resume lets advisors spend time where it matters.

A cohort of 200 graduates means 200 resumes, most of them on their third or fourth draft, all arriving in the same two weeks. A career services team of three cannot read every one of them twice with care.
The problem is not effort, it is triage
Advisors spend the same 20 minutes on a resume that is almost ready as on one that misses the basics. The students who need the most help wait the longest, and the strong ones get feedback they did not need.
A first pass on every resume
The fix is a first pass that runs before an advisor looks: every student uploads, and a minute later gets a report under the school's name with a score, the signals a hiring manager checks, and the biggest gap.
What changes:
- Students fix the obvious before the meeting. No bullet without a result, no unclear headline, no two column layout an applicant tracking system cannot read.
- Advisors start where it matters. They see the score and the gap and spend their time on positioning and the story, the part software does not do well.
- You see the whole cohort. Who has not uploaded yet, who is stuck below a score, who is ready to apply.
What to look for in a tool
- Under your school's brand, so it feels like part of the program.
- Diagnosis rather than an automatic rewrite, so students still learn to write their resume.
- Keys or a link per cohort, and numbers per cohort.
- Data stored briefly and in the EU, on an AI API that does not train on student data.
