Lead Magnet Ideas for Career Coaches That Actually Book Calls
Checklists get downloaded and forgotten. Here are lead magnets that turn job seekers into booked calls.

Most career coaching lead magnets are generic: a resume template, a LinkedIn checklist, "10 interview questions". They get downloaded, skimmed and forgotten, and the person never books.
The lead magnets that book calls have one thing in common: they are about the person, not about the topic.
1. A personal resume or LinkedIn score
The job seeker uploads their own resume and gets a score, the signals a hiring manager looks for, and the one gap that holds them back. It is personal, it takes two minutes, and it ends with your booking link. This is the strongest of all, because the gap it shows is the reason to talk to you.
2. A short self-assessment with a result page
Ten questions about the search so far: how many applications, how many interviews, how long. The result names their stage ("applying a lot, hearing little") and what usually fixes it. Less precise than a resume score, but easy to build.
3. A live teardown
Once a week you review three resumes from your audience live. People submit to be picked, and everyone else watches the fix happen. It builds trust fast and fills webinars.
4. A salary or offer calculator
For executive and tech audiences: what their next role should pay based on level and market. It attracts people who are close to a decision, which is exactly when they buy coaching.
What makes a lead magnet book calls
- It is about them. Their resume, their numbers, their situation.
- It shows a gap, not the fix. The fix is your paid work.
- It ends with one next step. A booking link, not five links.
- You see who used it. A name, an email and the result, so you know who to call first.
